Cheap SR22 DUI Car Insurance!

If the court doesn’t give a DUI conviction but DMV keeps my suspension, should it affect my auto insurance?

This happened 4 years ago 10/2008. I was pulled over by campus police for going over a bridge that everyone goes on. I had one beer, but blew a small amount. DMV suspended my license for 1 year. On my court date, the judge said the officer did not file a complaint so they dropped my case. Therefore, I was not convicted.

I pay $300 for 6 months for auto insurance. What can I do to lower my rate?
I was 20 and blew .02, that’s a beer an hour later and mouth wash. Is $300/6 months a lot?
Yep, I am 23 now and paying $302/month. I have state farm insurance.
Yea I am not sure if they know, but I had to make sure an SR-22 was on file each year. I have been driving for 7 years and I only have that on my record which I felt was unjustified.

When they dropped my case, DMV kept my suspension.
Here’s my coverages.

Bodily Injury Liability $50,000 (each person)/$100,000(each accident)

Property Damage Liability $25,000 (each accident)

Uninsured motor vehicle $50,000 (each person)/$100,000(each accident)

Property Damage

Total Premium For Vehicle 1 $301.99
Oops, wasn’t thinking….. 10/2004 OCTOBER/2008… do the math. I said 4 years ago.
